Summer Camps 2018

Our summer camps are a chance for kids to immerse themselves in the world of art. Every Monday we create with clay so that it can be dried and fired in our kiln, the rest of the week we explore a variety of mediums within that week's theme.

SCULPTURE : June 26 - June 30
See your art really come to life as we explore sculpture in this half-day camp! Using clay, paper mache, plasticine and more we will learn to build colourful, dynamic, 3D works of art.

This camp runs from 9:30 to 12:00 and is open to students in grades 1 to 6.
Cost is $250 + HST Add early drop off 8:30-9:30 for $25 per child.



Comics and Cartoons
(Short weeks) July 3-6 and August 7-10
Celebrate the timeless art of comics and cartoons in this animated week of camp! Facial expression, body language, background design and narrative structure will come together to create a full one-page comic.

Wild Kingdom
July 9-13 and August 13-17
Immerse yourself in the wonderful animal kingdom! From coyotes in the desert to whales in the deep blue sea, we’ll spend this week creating art based on animals and their habitats.

August 13-17 Full Day and Morning Programs are full for grades JK to Gr 5

Art of Books
July 16-20 and August 20-24
From their enchanting illustrations to their descriptive text, children’s books are a playground for the visual imagination! In this week of camp, we will use classic children’s stories and a variety of artistic mediums to inspire original works of art.

Planet Earth and Outer Space
July 23-27 and August 27-31
Join us as we journey from our own backyard to the edges of the universe! Board a rocket ship of your own design and explore all the planets in our solar system, creating extra-terrestrial creatures and landscapes along the way.

Mini Masters
July 30-August 3
This week, we will visit the works of famous artists, past and present. We’ll investigate the colours, techniques and concepts behind their iconic works of art and use this knowledge to make original works in a variety of mediums!

Students are divided into groups by grade they are entering in September:  JK&SK;  Gr. 1-2;  Gr. 3-5;  Gr. 6-8

Half day: $245.00 + HST
Full day: $440.00 + HST (save $50.00!)

Short Week (Comics and Cartoons)
Half day: $195.00 + HST
Full day: $350.00 + HST (save $40.00!)

Half days run from 9:30am to 12pm, there is a one hour supervised lunch, then the second half day program runs from 1pm to 3:30pm. Full day is from 9:30am to 3:30pm.
Add early drop off 8:30-9:30 for $25/week/child and late pick-up 3:30 to 5:30 for $35/week/child.

Please send your child with a nut-free lunch and 2 nut-free free snacks for our morning and afternoon breaks. Participants should dress for mess!
