Add some colour to your Spring and join us for our Ceramics, Drawing, Encaustic, Watercolour and Acrylic Painting Workshops!

Our adult in-studio classes provide a warm, welcoming environment where learning, creativity, and fun come together. Class sizes are small to ensure an inclusive environment.



 

Encaustic Workshop

Encaustic is the age-old technique of wax painting! We will experiment with colour, fire, collage, image transfer, and many other techniques! 

Experienced students are welcome to use this class as a studio space.

*Course fee includes a $75 materials charge which includes wax, encaustic medium, use of oil paints for pigments, drawing materials, papers for collage, etc.

2 mondays, 1:00-3:00 PM - Session 1: April 8 & 15
2 mondays, 1:00-3:00 PM - Session 2: April 22 & 29

$150/2 week session. MATERIALS are included. HST IS EXTRA.


 

acrylic painting

This is a studio space art class that allows beginners to learn the core practices of acrylic painting and returning students to continue exploring their personal practice. With a variety of projects to choose from, students can try their hand at abstraction, impressionism, or realism. Complete beginners welcome!

Materials are not included in the workshop fee. You can purchase a materials kit during online registration or gather your own supplies using the materials list. Download materials list here.

acrylic paint your pet workshop - Monday evenings

Learn the fundamentals of acrylic painting in a fun and relaxed environment. And the best part? You’ll come away with a portrait of your best furry friend. Beginners welcome!

Materials are included in the workshop fee.

3 mondays, 6:30-8:30 PM - April 8, 15, 22

$178 materials are included. HST IS EXTRA.


 

Watercolour workshop

Students will be introduced to watercolour painting by exploring the different blending methods specific to watercolours (wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and mixed on the palette), layering, and brushwork techniques. There are a variety of projects that explore the core techniques for students to choose from, allowing everyone to work on themes that are meaningful to them. If you have a specific memory you wish to recreate, we can make sure to work towards that goal.

$230/5 week session. Optional Materials kit $70. Hst is extra.

 

 

Drawing

Students will learn to draw what they see in correct proportions and then bring their drawings to life through the use of shading and perspective. A variety of drawing materials will be used including graphite, charcoal, conte, pastel and pen and ink.

These sessions are suitable for those with or without previous drawing experience.

Fees

All program fees are non-refundable. School credit can be issued for cancellations made within 14 days prior to the start of the program. School credit is transferable within families. There is a $50 administration fee for changes requested less than 14 days prior to program start. 


Make-up Classes
We are unable to offer make-up classes due to student absence, illness, or for any other reason. Classes cannot be prorated or credited for missed classes or carried over to following sessions.
Should the studio need to cancel a course due to low enrollment, all students will be notified in advance, and full refunds issued.

Behaviour and Respect
We foster a community of positivity, safety, and mutual respect. All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner with both fellow participants and instructors alike. We reserve the right to make changes to existing enrollments when this policy is violated. If a participant is removed for violation of this policy, no refund or credit will be issued.
