Our Summer Art Camps are the highlight of our year here at Freehand. These 10, week-long programs provide a warm, welcoming environment where learning, creativity, and fun come together!
Students will craft distinctive fine art pieces, blending guided techniques with the freedom to explore their own creativity. These aren't just crafts—we'll be making true works of art. We love taking on bold and inspiring projects, so be prepared to find a special spot for your artist’s fantastic work!
Registration is open to participants entering SK to Grade in Fall 2026 (ages 5 to 12).

What do we do at art camp?
What kinds of art do we do at camp? Each week, we use a wide variety of art media to create special and unique works of art! Materials include watercolour and acrylic paint, printmaking, modelling clay, plaster and other sculpture materials. We draw in a sketchbook each day to warm-up and practice drawing skills. We typically complete 8-10 works of art each week within the theme.
What other activities do we do at camp? Each day at lunch, weather permitting, we walk to nearby Ranleigh Parkette (across from Bedford Park P.S.). Campers play games, use outdoor toys or just relax under a tree. There is no play structure or water area at this park.
We also play art games, board games, and have free choice crafts and activities indoors when time permits. We are usually quite engaged and busy with our projects all day!
Camp Times
Times: 9:30 am-3:30 pm
*Early Drop Off: 8:30 am-9:30 am
*After Care: 3:30 pm-4:30 pm
* Extra fee added at registration
Participants are grouped by the grade they are entering in September. This is typically: SK-Gr 1, Gr 2-4, Gr 5-7 but will vary depending on the week.

All weeks (except July 2-3 and August 4-7), $525 +HST
2-day week of July 2-3, $230 +HST
4-day of August 4-7, $440 +HST
HALF DAY EARLY Camp June 24-28 (mornings only) for SK-Grade 7 students, $315+HST
Before Care 8:30-9:30: $50/week +HST/5 day week, $40/week +HST/4 day week
After Care 3:30-4:30: $50/week +HST/5 day week, $40/week +HST/4 day week
Friday Pizza Lunch (optional): $5, includes 2 slices of cheese or pepperoni and juice.
Registration Policies
Fees
All program fees are non-refundable. School credit can be issued for cancellations made within 14 days before the start of the program. School credit is transferable within families. There is a $50 administration fee for changes requested less than 14 days before program start.
Make-up Classes
We are unable to offer make-up classes due to student absence, illness, or any other reason. Classes cannot be prorated or credited for missed classes or carried over to following sessions.
Should the studio need to cancel a course due to low enrolment, all students will be notified in advance, and full refunds issued.
Behaviour and Respect
We foster a community of positivity, safety, and mutual respect. All participants are expected to conduct themselves safely and respectfully with both fellow participants and instructors alike. We reserve the right to make changes to existing enrollments when this policy is violated. If a participant is removed for violation of this policy, no refund or credit will be issued.
