PA Day Camps

Freehand offers full and half day camps every PA Day during the school year. Each camp has a fun and enriching theme with different projects in the morning and afternoon.

October 5, 2018 - Creature Feature

Caged Monsters
Morning Camp (9:30am to 12:00pm)
Create a scary or sweet monster decorated with paint, feathers, gems and air dry clay. Once the monster is complete, students will construct a 3D cage made of painted paper to make sure it doesn't get away!

Haunted House Windows
Afternoon Camp (1:00pm to 3:30pm)
Using collage and paint, students will design a spooky mansion silhouetted against an evening sky. Open paper window shutters to reveal the ghosts, vampires and witches that haunt this house!

November 16, 2018 - Super Heroes

Superhero Split Pin Self-Portrait
Morning Camp (9:30am to 12:00pm):

Pop Art-style Sound Effect Art
Afternoon Camp (1:00pm to 3:30pm):
In classic pop art style, students will learn how to draw bubble letters and layer brightly painted paper to create sound effect word-art that will really POP!

December 7, 2018 - Winter Wonderland

Hot Chocolate Pattern Painting
Morning Camp (9:30am to 12:00pm):

Snowy Arctic Animal Printmaking
Afternoon Camp (1:00pm to 3:30pm):
Using ink and watercolours, students will paint an arctic animal in its icy habitat. Complete the picture with detailed snowflakes, stamped onto the painting using traditional printmaking techniques!
